About this ebook

The #1 New York Times Bestselling Series!

Cinder, the cyborg mechanic, returns in the second thrilling installment of Marissa Meyer's bestselling Lunar Chronicles. She's trying to break out of prison--even though if she succeeds, she'll be the Commonwealth's most wanted fugitive.

Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit's grandmother is missing. It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn't know about her grandmother or the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother's whereabouts, she is loath to trust this stranger, but is inexplicably drawn to him, and he to her. As Scarlet and Wolf unravel one mystery, they encounter another when they meet Cinder. Now, all of them must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen Levana, who will do anything for the handsome Prince Kai to become her husband, her king, her prisoner.

The book has a fast paced plot, much like Cinder. But where Cinder is full of the hopes and dreams of a teenage girl who finds more about herself then she wanted to know by the end of the book; Scarlet starts off with pure frustration of crushed hope. The young heroine is immediately devastated and in denial, furious at everyone she encounters. This book does not merely hint at the sinister as in the first book, but dives in and elaborates on the some of the darkest acts humans have enacted on one anoth

Better than chocolate and that is extremely hard to accomplish. "Cinder" cost me an entire nights sleep since I couldn't put it down, then Scarlet kept my prisoner the very next day. I typically stray from books labeled juvenile, but this series is far from it. Can't wait for "Cress". Already going through TDs.

Excellent retelling of Red Riding Hood. Definitely better if you've read Cinder, but still good on it's own. I can hardly wait to dive into Cress. I heartily recommend this story to anyone who loves a modern take on an old tale... especially when it includes space aliens & cyborgs!!
