Ivar (H) is an alien cat shifter prince who's been accidentally stranded on Earth for a year after a trip through a portal from his planet. Beth (h) is an painter who's trying to make her way in the artistic community. Their paths cross and Ivar realizes she is his true mate to love and protect, and while their relationship progresses he neglects to let Beth know that he loves her. They are faced with challenges and adventures related to his home world and goings on related to the portal. This was a fun, quick read with hot and sexy action on the lighter side.

Prince Ivar was reluctant to through the portals to Earth but egged on by his friend, Finn, they stumble in New Orleans and hilarity ensues! Finn proposes to just about every female he sees and gets rejected at every turn, even though he is a very handsome lad. But when he tried to pull a fast one and stay on Earth, Finn and Ivar come to blows and Ivar is accidentally left behind when the portal closes. Not exactly immersed in Earth customs and language, Ivar makes a life for himself, all the while searching for the dragon shifters who had defected through the portal, to order them home and save the portals from closing. Beth is a struggling artist and has lost her mojo. She needs a new muse to ignite the passion inside her. When she sees Ivar mid shift and catches it on her camera, she creates some of her best work. But when she stumbles into Ivar once again, he brings trouble of the dragon variety with him and they end up with more than a burgeoning bond between them! I love the way these stories overlap, so you see the same scene from different viewpoints. Ivar is a bit of stickler for the rules, so he is a great counter point to the arty, bohemian Beth. I loved the sub story of the dragon-shifter defectors and it was a great way to catch up with characters from the other books. The misinterpretations of earth behaviour is hilarious

Ivar, a cat shifter, comes to Earth in search of a mate and finds one in Beth, but she disappears into the crowd. He has one year before the portal reopens and he can go home. This story fills that time period and the two connect and fight together. Plenty of humor, passion, action and suspense in these pages. The characters are well done and the storyline will keep you hooked from the start. The ending is great and I am hooked on the authors writing. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
