About this ebook

He’s a cowboy with a secret.

She’s a librarian with a checklist.

And in the small town of Sweetheart Creek, opposites attract…

Librarian Karen Hartley is not looking for a cowboy.

And she’s definitely not looking for a jock.

So when ranch-owning, football-coaching Myles Wylder shows up with inquisitive blue eyes, impossibly broad shoulders, and an offer to help save the town library, Karen refuses to let herself fall for his charm. After all, he doesn’t check a single box on her carefully planned Mr. Right list.

But the more time she spends with the kindhearted cowboy, the harder it becomes to ignore the little voice telling her there may be more to Myles than first impressions.

Maybe even more than what’s on her list.

Myles already knows he’s not the man Karen imagined for herself. Still, he’s determined to prove there’s more to life—and love—than playing it safe. And helping her save the Sweetheart Creek library seems like the perfect place to start.

There’s only one problem.

He’s hiding a secret that could change everything.

Can this cowboy win the heart of the cautious librarian? Or will the truth destroy their chance at a happily ever after?

A warm, heartfelt small-town romance filled with swoony moments, emotional depth, real-feeling characters, and wholesome charm. This sweet opposites-attract love story is perfect for readers who enjoy closed-door romance with all the feels and none of the spice.

This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from the author. The characters are really well done and the story seems like it might be your predictable opposites-attract story. But the main couple are only opposites in some things. They share important things. Things that gave them the outlook they have. They are both stronger than they think they are, and the strengths of one bolster the weaknesses of the other. And they are loved by their community.

Myles and Karen are definitely an opposites attract scenario. Myles is a fun-loving cowboy and jock who doesn't read for pleasure. Karen is a prim, uptight librarian who thinks the world revolves around books. They join forces to hold a fundraiser to save the library and in the process fall in love. The friction between them ignites the pages. Karen has a razor-sharp tongue that she has to learn to control as well as her judgmental ideas about cowboys and jocks. Myles needs to quit hiding behind the cowboy-jock persona and stop worrying about what others think of his "problem". I loved the side story about Robyn and Blake. It added another dimension to the story. I hope they are part of future books in this series. I thoroughly enjoyed The Cowboy's Secret Wish and can't wait to read Ryan's story next.
