About this ebook

I needed a wife to win the Senate. I didn’t expect to fall for the one woman I could never have.

Gerard Collins is a man of cold fury and absolute justice. A high-powered lawyer and former Marine, he’s running for the U.S. Senate to dismantle the corrupt Boroni crime family from the inside. But in the cutthroat world of Massachusetts politics, a single man is a liability. His campaign manager has a plan: a temporary marriage to a "stable" socialite to secure the voters.

Nicole Wyman is Hollywood’s "America’s Sweetheart," but her life is a scripted hollow shell. Returning to her roots on Cape Cod to care for her mentally ill sister, she expects quiet—not a whirlwind proposal from the man who has haunted her fantasies since they were children.

What starts as a tactical alliance for the cameras quickly erupts into a fire neither of them can control. But Gerard’s secret war with the mafia and Nicole’s dangerous family history are on a collision course. When the headlines turn lethal and the Boronis target Nicole to get to him, Gerard must decide what he’s willing to sacrifice: the election he’s worked a lifetime for, or the woman who finally made him feel alive.

The Collins Brothers are all eligible bachelors who fall hard for their women. Gerard and Nicole knew each other when they were young but life kept them apart. Just when Gerard needs a wife to help his political career, Nicole comes home and their worlds collide, insta-love and drama. Nicole's life is in danger but it is not from the criminal's that Gerard is trying to stop. This is a fast paced romance that keeps you guessing.

About the author

USA Today Bestselling Author, Victoria Pinder grew up in Irish Catholic Boston before moving to the Miami sun. She’s worked in engineering, after passing many tests proving how easy Math came to her. Then hating her life at the age of twenty four, she decided to go to law school. Four years later, after passing the bar and practicing very little, she realized that she hates the practice of law. She refused to one day turn 50 and realize she had nothing but her career and hours at a desk. After realizing she needed change, she became a high school teacher. Teaching is rewarding, but writing is a passion.

During all this time, she always wrote stories to entertain herself or calm down. Her parents are practical minded people demanding a job, and Victoria spent too many years living other people’s dreams, but when she sat down to see what skill she had that matched what she enjoyed doing, writing became so obvious. The middle school year book when someone wrote in it that one day she’d be a writer made sense when she turned thirty.

She’s always been determined. She is amazing, adventurous and assured on a regular basis. Her website is  www.victoriapinder.com.
