Ramona is a lively kindergartener who loves to have fun. And going to kindergarten leads new and exciting things Ramona's way. She doesn't undersatnd what she's doing wrong, but otherwise she is a good spirit. Ramona the Pest puts these things in one book for her weeks of Kindergarten. I think whoever reads this will love and laugh and what has to say and do.

Ramona Quimby is as excited as a kid can be about her first day of kindergarten. Finally, she'll learn to read, write, and catch up to her big sister, Beezus. Unfortunately, the day doesn't go quite as smoothly as Ramona expects, starting with her inability to rest during rest time. For first graders, Ramona the Brave takes place a year later when Ramona is 6 years old.

I read this a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time ago, but I remember I loved these books. Ramona was my favorite, she is so funny! I can't think of anyone who wouldn't like this book! Unless it's some old grumpy, smart, no-nonsense, mean guy. Well, it's really funny and good. :)

About the author

Beverly Cleary is one of America's most beloved authors. As a child, she struggled with reading and writing. But by third grade, after spending much time in her public library in Portland, Oregon, she found her skills had greatly improved. Before long, her school librarian was saying that she should write children's books when she grew up.Instead she became a librarian. When a young boy asked her, "Where are the books about kids like us?" she remembered her teacher's encouragement and was inspired to write the books she'd longed to read but couldn't find when she was younger. She based her funny stories on her own neighborhood experiences and the sort of children she knew. And so, the Klickitat Street gang was born!Mrs. Cleary's books have earned her many prestigious awards, including the American Library Association's Laura Ingalls Wilder Award, presented to her in recognition of her lasting contribution to children's literature.
