Intrigue, suspense and romance are all weaved into this novel with advanced skill and placement. Gabi has a lot to reconcile with and to figure out. Lukas also must demonstrate he is not the cruel tormentor of the past. Then a bombshell occurs with the encounter of paranormal forces due to a foolish young man’s ambitions. Lukas & Gabi come to terms with each other with the aid of the ever-brave Lady of Erlangen. Excellent reading, excellent story!

Ms. Carhart has really developed as a writer since her first series (which I also enjoyed). I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Every chapter made me want to keep going to the next one. It was so hard to put it down and get sleep!

Love, drama, action, secrets galore, & more await you OK first I want an Eilhalbe in a Silver Oak tree. Definitely want more Bianca and Oliver with Gabi in it. Gabi is so relatable! If you love learning about various cultures food so many sound delicious, I think we'd all love a Teuton recipe book, hint hint. The story is about accepting the hard truths committed against us or that we have committed against others. To get past that, find our own way in the world, and what makes us shine regardless of what anyone says. We are all capable & deserving of love. Gabi returns home after years away to end up in almost the exact same place she was as she left, being belittled for her Teuton magic percentage. Can she overcome the prejudice? Can she have the one man her fire has wanted for over a decade, has he changed? Or does fate have other plans for Gabi? Would someone dare harm Gabi or her family's Silver Oak? Will Gabi find love?
