About this ebook

Sam has spent the last decade hiding her magic. If anyone found out she was an Earth Elemental, she would lose everything, including the land that relied on her.

Hale has been the Highland Rift Pack Alpha for the last seven years, and his priorities are his pack, the rangers, and keeping the Highland Rift Scar monsters in check.

When a full moon hunt ends with Hale stung by a Rift scorpion and stuck as a wolf, Sam is forced to allow him to stay on her land. Something her land is ecstatic about. Her, not so much.

Though she tries to avoid him, it's not long before another attack puts Hale’s life in the balance. Sam is left with a difficult decision: keep her secret and lose Hale, or risk everything and use her magic to save him.

Can Sam and Hale trust each other, or will their mistrust bury them? Find out in this enthralling paranormal romance novel, Buried by Earth, the first in the Highland Rift Pack series.

I really enjoy shifter stories, so I couldn't pass up the chance at a free copy of this book. It was really an amazing story! Completely original, in pretty much all aspects. I'm not entirely sure what has caused the "scar" they were patrolling, but I may have missed the explanation in the beginning. I think that I may have misunderstood the type of book it was going to be, however… I was expecting some erotic encounters, and there were none. I did read through the book fairly quickly in the hopes of finding them, though. That's why it lost one star from me. But, perhaps my expectations shouldn't affect the rating at all!

Book starts off slow but stick with it because it does pick up and it us a new take on wolves and witches. Sam is an Earth Elemental that is taking care of land that relies on her . Hale is Alpha of a pack of wolves that have to make sure the Highland Rift Scar monsters in check. He gets stuck in his wolf gorm because of a Rift Scorpion. He is attacked again and Sam knows she needs to help him, but can she trust him? Really worth reading. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The book started out really slow and I thought that I was not going to like it. Boy, was I wrong! Once it picked up, it was captivating and hard to put down. The characters were well developed. I cannot wait to read the next instalment. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
