Powerful book. Not one I would have chosen to read on my own, but it was selected by my book club and I am forever changed. I'm having difficulty articulating why I have been so moved by reading this--perhaps it needs some time to settle in me, but I am grateful (understated to be sure) to Ms. Lindhout for telling her story.

I enjoyed every bit of this book. I couldn't wait to read and couldn't pull myself away. Vivid and gut wrenching. Its been a while since I've read something that made me emotional enough to cry. I would recommend highly!

I couldn't put this book down. A story with many twists and turns. An unbelievable story of strength and courage.
