About this ebook

When Cassey’s business is in jeopardy, she gets an interesting offer from a local hotel owner. He has been trying to run her business into the ground so his family can snatch up the land for cheap. But, how can she turn him away when just the sight of the man makes her heart jump out of her chest?

Luke was sent by his father, owner of the swankiest and longest-operating resort along the Florida's Gulf coast, to gain one of the best properties at any cost. But when he sees the owner of the bar and grill, he’s torn between his duty to his family and his desire for the silver-eyed beauty.

A wholesome book. It's been a while since I've thoroughly enjoyed a book. It brought me to tears a few times. It dealt with real people and real problems. I'm looking forward to the entire series. Thank you!

I still can't understand how a person who has been burned so badly when they were young, could let just anyone screw her like that. The beginnings of the relationship is totally unbelievable. I would have thought most business women would have called the cops in the office , not to mention throw the coffee in his face and/or kick him in the family jewels when eating breakfast.

The book opens up with heart-wrenching prologue. A younger Cassey is saved in the middle of the night. She is taken away by a social worker because she knows how Cassey was mistreated at her home. Then on the rest of the book, Cassey has grown and she opens a business that later on is under threat of being bought by a big hotel. Not wanting to sell, because her business is more than business to her, it holds a sentimental value. The person who is being sent by the hotel to negotiate to buy her business from her is Luke. They fall in love and they both find out that they have family issues that they have to overcome otherwise they won't grow as individuals. This book is well written. I would recommend to be read by people who are into romance, and erotica. The themes are neglect, abuse and family twisted dynamics.
