Behind Closed Doors Book Review
Amount of sex 3 / 5 How explicit 2.5 / 5 Romance 4 / 5 Overall: 4 / 5 I have always loved watching DEADLIEST CATCH on the Discovery Channel as well as the 2006 movie The Guardian starting Kevin Costner. His Last Defense reminds me of both and it is an action packed second chance romance by Karen Rock. The story line is unique and refreshing and I was hooked from the very beginning. In the story, Dylan is a USCG rescue swimmer currently stationed in his home town of Kodiak, Alaska. He has recently returned to Kodiak after nine years of being a rescue swimmer. He left Alaska, heartbroken by his first love, Nolee. Currently, Nolee is a first-time Captain of a crab fishing vessel. On her first trip out, disaster strikes her ship and she had to make a distress call. Unbeknownst to her, Dylan is back in Kodiak and is the one who rescues her ship. She is not sure how she feels as Dylan broke her heart when he left. This story is a great action packed romance, which had me gripping my Kindle wondering what will happen next! A definite add to your TBR list! *Voluntarily reviewed from an advanced copy*

Fear of hard work didn't stop Nolee from achieving her dreams but made her more determined to succeed in a testosterone charged environment. The sea owns her heart, body and soul. When a turn of events brings a face to face confrontation with her past, will this fearless fighter end up meeting her match? His Last Defense brings out the heavy artillery. In Nolee, Ms. Rock builds a courageous woman with the strength to take on the world and conquer sexism while standing up to danger. Dylan brings bad boy swagger and fire all his own with his tempting smile and sensuous looks. Taking a walk on the wild side has never been so much fun.
