What do you do when you fall in love with the enemy?

My name is Marney and I am immortal.

I walk London’s streets, hunting rogues and keeping humanity safe. I work alone. I prefer it that way. Anyone who gets close to me ends up dead.

But there’s one rogue who’s eluded me. He’s become my nemesis and resurrected an age-old cult that threatens war on humanity. If I don’t stop him, London is doomed. But I can’t take him down alone. I need help.

And that help comes from a man whose smoky good looks and easy charm turn my world upside down.

There’s only one problem. He’s a vampire.

The sworn enemy of an immortal.

It's okay, but way to go for trying to milk readers(her other works are the same so I guess I shouldn't be surprised). It's not horrible, but it's not outstanding either. There were grammatical errors, not a lot that I'd want to drop the book, but there were. I also don't know if it's Marney's too slow in grasping the situation when she was fighting Hugh for the 2nd time in this book but she sure is a big lump of pride. This plot do have potential though but I would've buy the other books if this is longer.

Love this read but unfortunately as soon as you are really getting into it (total page turner) its over....go to the next book...of course that one is not free. Would have given 5 stars but didnt like the fact that it did not finish the story line that was started.

About the author

Katy Baker was born in London to an English mother and an American father. She grew up a stone's throw from Hampstead Heath which remains one of her favorite places in the world. During her twenties she spent several years living in San Francisco where she developed an abiding love of bagels before returning to her beloved London. She lives in south London with her husband and a very grumpy bulldog.

Katy's books explore the intricacies of human relationships with plenty of spice thrown in. What would life be without a little spice?
