His primary areas of work and major interests include Climate Change Mitigation through Coastal Carbon Capture and other innovative technologies; Climate Change & Environmental Policy, Planning, and Data Analytics; Innovative Market-Based Instruments like Carbon/Water Credit and Trading; Climate Change & Environmental Management using innovative technologies, etc. Chirag was selected as an Ambassador by Island Innovation in 2023 considering his interests in Climate Change and SIDS, and he chose to represent the island countries of the West Indian Ocean (Maldives, Mauritius, Reunion, Seychelles, etc.).
