Ratings and reviews

Although relatively short asbooks go, it does contain some better than average tales. Exactly how many might be truthful is open to interpretation, but in any event most certainly bring a smile. The cartoons are also original and all round worth the small purchase cost.

This book is great! Seriously (no really), with all the negative cop/police stuff going around the in the news media and with protesters, it's great to pick up a book that paints the men and women in blue in a humorous light. Grab it, you won't be disappointed - that is if you have a sense of humor.

Very entertaining and funny read! This book has a collection of ridiculous crimes and weird laws from around the world. I personally enjoy reading weird news and what type of foolish crimes are committed and this book had a whole collection of it that had me laughing and shaking my head the whole time! As always, Oliver's cartoons are funny and cute!

About the author

Gaspirtz's award-winning cartoons have appeared in hundreds of newspapers and magazines like Saturday Evening Post, SUN and National Enquirer. 

His work has also been featured in dozens of books, including the New York Times best-selling series, Chicken Soup For The Soul. 

You might have seen some of his comics online, on sites like BuzzFeed.

Gaspirtz cartoons have been on display in several museums, like the Museum of Modern Art in Tehran, Iran and the National Museum of Cartoon Art in Boca Raton, Florida.

In the late 1980s, Gaspirtz founded a video game development company called Amok Entertainment. 

After programming several 8-bit games, he retired from coding and focused on game design as project manager for games like Pot Panic and Woody The Worm. Some of Amok's games were published by a subsidiary of Electronic Arts.
