Was so tempted to give the elusive 5 stars for this one. I have never given them to any book just in case I ever read a better one. It's not that it doesn't deserve it. I have to leave space for the possibility of better, if that is possible.

This bookbis slower than Enpire, but still good. It brings on the loneliness of being seperated from a loved one quite well. A fantastic book that is tough to out down.

This book read slower than the last few books. This book built on the relationships but seem to drift a little bit while showing the darker side of humanity. I will continue to read the series.

About the author

Born in 1963, Michael Hicks grew up in the age of the Apollo program and spent his youth glued to the television watching the original Star Trek series and other science fiction movies, which continues to be a source of entertainment and inspiration. Having spent the majority of his life as a voracious reader, he has been heavily influenced by writers ranging from Robert Heinlein to Jerry Pournelle and Larry Niven, and David Weber to S.M. Stirling. Living in Maryland with his beautiful wife, two wonderful stepsons and two mischievous Siberian cats, he continues to work full-time while dreaming and writing.
