Hümeyra Kaya, the Turkish writer, began her literary journey at a young age by writing short stories, essays, and short theater scripts. After studying Turkish Language and Literature, she further refined her craft and contributed to various local newspapers as well as literary, cultural, and arts magazines.
Her first book, "Sera Hatun/Sürgün Prenses" (Lady Sera/Princess in Exile), was published in Germany in 2012. A distinctive feature of her works is the way she masterfully blends the social, cultural, and historical elements of the European cities she has lived in since childhood with traces of Turkish culture, art, and literature. Initially incorporating subtle crime elements into her novels, which focused on love, biography, and adventure, she later emphasized these aspects more strongly and transitioned into writing crime fiction.
Hümeyra Kaya continues to write new books.
