About this ebook

Hale received an unexpected request to join Marsha McConaughey on a special mission. Only four of them would track a terrorist, with a history of blowing up American citizens. The bomber’s current plot was foiled, but, in the chaos, he escaped across the border into Canada, giving a middle-finger salute to the first set of cameras on the other side.

Marsha has been hunting assholes like this one for years. It’s wearing on her. This is her last job, but she’s determined to walk away on a success. This one means more to her than the others. This man took out several members of her team. She wants this asshole. Willingly chasing him into Canada is one thing, but into the backwoods of Prince Albert National Park is another thing altogether.

When the killing spree continues in Canada, the team is more determined than ever to stop this guy—before he kills anyone else—particularly the woman hunting him.

What I like: - The setting, it's in the forest so it's like survival in the forest, not that intense but I totally get the atmosphere - The last few chapters is pretty intense What I don't like: - Marsha, I don't like her, she's so whiny, always snapping and kinda rude, everything has to be her way, she's very annoying, Hale deserved better than her. - Not really buying the romance part - Some doesn't make any sense

This book was exciting and action-packed. Very easy to read but hard to put down. Hale and Marsha had great chemistry and generated plenty of sparks. Drama, danger and suspense made a potent and consuming blend that I thoroughly enjoyed. This is my unbiased, unsolicited review.

Marsha selected Hale to join her team for a covert op to take down a terrorist called the Ghost. Marsha is used to being in charge, but when their search takes Marsha and Hale to Prince Albert National Park, Marsha reluctantly relinquishes her control. While Marsha is out of her element in the forest, As a survivalist Hale is in his and takes lead of the op. While reading the book, the descriptions allow you to imagine yourself camping with them.

About the author

Dale Mayer is a USA Today bestselling author who writes for the young, the old and those in-between – no matter what the age. Some of her books are hot, some are sweet. Some will keep you up at night with a light on to keep the boogie man away and some you’ll want to cuddle close. She’s long given up on trying to fit a specific genre. Instead she honors the stories that come to her – and some of them are crazy, break all the rules and cross multiple genres! And that’s okay too. There is one guarantee with each book – it will be a great read – each and every time.
