This is a great book for someone to read who either preachers already or is interested in preaching. Some of the terminology used in the book is dated and there are historical gems mentioned, such as the "recent" invention of the phonograph.
On the practical level, this book has advice on delivery and method that can be implemented immediately which will help with preaching. By far, however, the information that I have found most useful are the several pitfalls mentioned by the writer which young preachers should be careful to avoid. Advice like what to avoid in your first several sermons at a new congregation, will help young preachers to avoid making mistakes that cause tension in a local congregation.
Overall, this book has great advice for those who are interested in preaching and is something that I will recommend to other preachers and those interested in becoming preachers.
