I guess it is just me but I fail to see the need to constantly be bringing the "sexual attraction" between the main players in the book constantly into the forefront. In the midst of a bloody battle, I just find it hard to fathom that someone's lust filled thoughts are going to be coursing through their mind. I would assume surviving would be their line of thinking. I'm not against the romantic angle, but would like it to be kept in proper context within the story, instead of being forcefully injected into it way to often and in places where it becomes a distraction to the main plot.

Big fan of Rollins, not a fan of Rollins/Cantrell. This story was often slow, with internal monologues dragging down other, infrequent moments of pace and excitement. I finished this book out of commitment to Rollins, but will not continue with the series. I want my 6 hours back.

Great stuff. Didn't realize it was a trilogy when I started it. When I finished it, I immediately hit the by now button for book 2 !! J.R. rocks !!
