About this ebook

These are the stories you never learned in school. Ice Ace voyagers, Chinese, Viking, Phoenician, Hebrew, Libyan, and Irish explorers came to America years before Columbus. This book outlines eighteen different waves of adventurers who came to America, some to settle permanently, others just to trade for natural resources of the New World. Many of these stories are controversial, but taken in their entirety, they make for a compelling argument that the simplistic story of Columbus "discovering" America can no longer be accepted.

Anyone who is interested in anthropology and who has a keen interest in ancient cultures and how they arrived in America will be fascinated with Mr. Loker’s new book, Ancient Explorers of American – From the Ice Age to Columbus. His book starts with a fictional account of how people in America might have lived 18,000 years ago. My imagination went wild thinking of the hardships those early Americans were plagued with and how tenaciously they survived. I’m quite sure those of us in this modern 21st Century would not last long in such an era. Mr. Loker continues to explore the evidence sites in the Americas of the ancient people who populated this area of the globe from the Ice Age, the theories of their routes across the land and seas from Asia and Europe. While earlier inhabitation was speculation from evidence sites left behind, some later migrations have been documented. This book is fascinating and an intriguing read from beginning to end. kcp.va

What a revelation! I had no idea there was so much traffic through these lands so long ago. Some few of Loker's stories may be conjecture, but he gave a pretty convincing argument that more exploration than we have yet confirmed began longer ago than we suspected. Starting with his fictional account of Ice Age exploration, Loker captured me with a plausible and harrowing tale of adventure, told as the real people they must have been arrived on these shores. After that, the author detailed many absorbing and amazing tales, both those now scientifically accepted and others reasonable speculation, that kept me turning the pages. Loker's earlier profiles of historical characters brought them to life on the page; this book achieves the same can't-put-it-down result for me.
