This is a great series featuring friends living in NYC who are witty, quick and self proclaimed "smartasses." Thus the dialogue is fantastic and feels real. It is written from the male POV, so allows for unique perspective. Their journeys to HEA in the series make for a fun and easy read. I enjoy them all. You do not have to read in order but it is much better if you do so. The crossover characters delightfully offer continued glimpses into their lives, in some cases. But in others there are precursors (some hints) to what their book may include. Can read multiple time. I last read this July 2022. Crossovers in this book include the couple from BIG ROCK and Simon who will appear in later book. Buy the whole series!

Absolutely delightful! I listened to this on audio and had a wonderful time listening to it! Nick Hammer has it bad for his best friend's sister and she has asked him for help. Dating help and help with seduction. Oh, this is good! I actually laughed my way through this one. Once he fell, he fell hard and it was fun watching his descent. I highly recommend this one!

Mister O by Lauren Blakely is the stand-alone follow up to Big Rock. Both books can absolutely be enjoyed by themselves, but, I'm a stickler for order so thats how I read them. Mister O is the story of Nick Hammer, nerdy cartoonist with a hit prime time animated series and Harper Holiday, magician. Yes, a cartoonist and a magician. intrigued already right? Nick and Harper are friends in their own right but Nick is Best Friends with Spencer, Harper's brother. Oooh, you say, best friends sister romance? Yeah! Smokin' hawt!!!!! Harper is bit of a nerd herself. Totally comfortable on stage performing her magic, she bumbles and slurs anytime there is a man around shes attracted to. Nick has had Harper on constant play in his spank-bank ever since they day they tricked her brother into thinking they were together as a favor for Harper and some evil, sister-payback plan. The memory of her hands all over his arms **steam**. So despite their great friendship, he knows she's off limits, except, she asks him to show her how to woo a man. She wants to date but doesn't have much opportunity to meet guys, and when she does, she can barely speak one intelligible word. Nick jumps on board and the games begin. Lauren Blakely infuses this book with so much wonderful wit, banter and nerdy quirkiness - it was awesome. I loved every single letter. HIGHLY recommend this and also read Big Rock first.
