Cartier is back in Brooklyn to avenge the death and attempted murder of two members of the Cartier Cartel, Shanine and Monya. She’s back with the remaining members of the Cartel to solve the case. Unfortunately for Cartier things don’t go down as planned. Tempers flare, love is tested, loyalty is questioned and new enemies are made. Will she be able to make it out of the mayhem alive or will she forever have to look over her shoulder to see who is gonna back stab her next. This book was right on time! After reading numerous 2.5 star books, RETURN OF THE CARTIER CARTEL got me back in the swing of reading by proving to be a straight 5 star read! Nisa Santiago does an admirable job with the character development and overall flow of the story. Cartier wasn’t given everything she wanted so easily. She was left to struggle and figure things out on her own. I would have liked her to take more responsibility for her kids instead of leaving them for days on end. Cartier questioned the actions of certain people left in the end she saw that they were loyal to her even when she thought there was no way they would be. Overall great read! I'm reading this and I'm like Cartier gets on my nerves, she think she gangster but Jason plays her like Lotto, .....there are no consequences for him sleeping around,.....just the women getting beat down and killed by Cartier..... I'm on Chapter 13, I hope someone has a brain in this rest this book ....

These books have got to be my new favorite. I love them💕. They're so real and gritty and relatable. Mostly on the relationships between characters. I never wanted the story to end 😪
