About the author

P. S. S. SUNDAR RAO [M.P.H. (Biostatistics), University of California at Barkeley; Dr. P.H. (Biostatistics), Columbia University, New York], is presently the Research Coordinator at the Leprosy Mission Trust India, New Delhi. Earlier, he served as Director, Schieffelin Leprosy Research and Training Centre, Karigiri, Tamil Nadu and Professor and Head, Department of Biostatistics, Christian Medical College, Vellore. A Fellow of the Royal Statistical Studies, London, Dr. Sundar Rao has about five decades of teaching experience. Instrumental in starting the first Department of Biostatistics in India, he has published several books and many scientific papers in reputed national and international journals. J. RICHARD [Ph.D. (Demography), Australian National University, Canberra] is presently Consultant in Biostatistics and Research Methods. Earlier, he served as Professor and Head, Department of Biostatistics, Christian Medical College, Vellore. He has about four decades of teaching experience and is also a Visiting Professor at several institutes/organizations. An author of two books, Dr. Richard is well known for his expertise in Biostatistics.
