Of Armenian origin, Peggy Hinaekian was born and raised in Egypt. She immigrated to New York with her first husband, where she pursued a career in fashion designing and fine arts. Having grown up in a cosmopolitan environment, Peggy read books in English, French, and Armenian at a very early age. She kept a diary since age twelve until she married an American whom she met in Rome during the summer of 1963. They had two boys and lived in Geneva, Switzerland. After their children went to college in the United States, they also moved there. Peggy Hinaekian is an internationally recognized, well-established artist living and working in California, Florida, and Switzerland (website: www.peggyhinaekian.artspan.com). This is her first novel, which is entirely fictional, except for the settings. The illustrations on the cover and inside the book are her own etchings. She has also written short stories and vignettes.
