About the author

Doug Hunsaker is a mechanical engineer and has been around aircraft for many years. After completing a PhD in engineering, he worked for two years at Scaled Composites on the SpaceShipTwo and Stratolaunch programs. Doug is now a professor in Mechanical Engineering at Utah State University where he teaches classes on aerodynamics and studies methods for developing more efficient aircraft. He collaborates with NASA and the U.S. Air Force Research Lab in the design of future aircraft, and loves teaching his two boys about aerospace.
