I was quite disappointed with how fast this story went because it seemed to jump miraculously from one thing to another. It could have been much better as it felt like it was rushed, other than that amazing book, the first of three amazing books, each of them a highly recommended read. The best bit i thought was at the end, it was such a surprising twist in events that made linger and forever possible. Cu3 x

Shiver is the best book I've ever read! I've also read Linger which is just as good. CANT WAIT FOR FOREVER TO BE RELEASED.... I've completed school projects on Shiver and I've even contacted the author... (Only to be dissapointed by an automatic set reply, never mind!). But I still had the opportunities to read a bestseller and learn many tricks and hints about writing books. Thank you Maggie I really loved the books! I definetely reccomend any of her books to all keen or even not-so-keen readers!

Shiver was a very overall good book. I love the plot and story line, but I don't believe it was very well executed. Since this novel is a romance/fantasy, it has a supernatural creature. This time its a werewolf. But since its a werewolf you would think that Sam (the werewolf) would do something to at least try and hide his new identity but...... Think again! He totally comes all out with secrets without thinking twice. I don't know if Stiefvater just wanted to move on in the novel or if Sam just didnt care about his secrets but it was obvious that he did. It expressed that when it was in Sam's point of view. It just seemed very rushed and there was no build up. Another thing that I thought was very rushed was Sam and Graces love life. They kissed after knowing eachother for like two days and stayed that same giddy way throughout the entire novel. But there are some very good and well written parts in the story. Such as the ending with the meningitis cure. I thought that was a very creative choice for a cure. Everything seemed to fit in at that point in the novel. Overall I loved the plot and I know that because I read it in about 2 and a half days so pretty quick read! I highly recommend for ages 13 and up.
