Just when I thought Melissa couldn’t write another series that I would love more than the last she comes out with The Bayside Summers Series. These are fun, easy going, real, and loving characters with true to life problems and relationships. There are alpha males who dote on their women, women who are flirty fun and totally committed to their males. Rick Savage makes a splash to get Desiree’s attention before he even knows her name. From that point on their relationship takes off. There is sweet talks and dates, steamy kisses and hot sex, along with deep talks and letting each other into their lives. While Rick isn’t perfect he is perfect for Desiree. Desiree isn’t looking for a relationship but knows that when the right person walks into her life she can’t let him go. Bayside Desires had me laughing and enjoying every page. There was some more serious parts which made the story just that more realistic. No relationship is easy without complications and Melissa Foster is amazing at keeping her characters true to themselves and their lives. Outside of Rick and Desiree’s relationship, my favorite part was seeing the sisters come together again. Having been raised apart from each other they didn’t have a strong relationship and I enjoyed seeing them learn to get along and accept their differences. I laughed, chuckled, smiled, definitely got frustrated along with Desiree, and cried along with Rick. I loved their combined stories. I've got to admit that I fell in love with this gorgeous cover long before I could read the book, I couldn't wait to start reading the book, the first from the brand new series. Rick and Desiree had me hooked from the start, as soon as they had their first flirty meeting, it was unexpected to them yet so well timed, as fate began to play a massive part in their lives. There were so many laugh out loud moments, including that one, throughout this story, their flirty banter and teasing was infectious. Reading Bayside Desires had me smiling and laughing throughout. Both were in the Cape temporarily, neither looking for romance. Desiree had received an urgent SOS from her distant mother having her believe she needed her straight away. Luckily she is a teacher in the holiday season, so packed her bags without hesitation, only to find that once she had arrived she had been tricked into looking after her grandmothers house and mothers business, along with her sister who she hadn't seen in a long time, while her mother scurried off on her travels. What began as an incredibly inconvenient situation, especially awkward between the two sisters, moved to being an incredible turn of events for all. I escaped so easily into this story, you could feel the emotion when the you needed to feel it due to the writing style of the author, you also had the fun, craziness and heat all rolled into one, with chapter 8 being my favorite! I loved Rick and Desiree's story so much. Their loveable heat flew off the pages and slipped easily into the readers mind. Their chemistry was undeniable, simply gorgeous, they had such a wonderful relationship that it had you begging for more when you finished. I really enjoyed following the sisters as they re-connected and the hilarious situations they found themselves in. I loved all the new characters and how they welcomed the two sisters into their lives with open arms. Of course we can't forget about Cosmos for his cupid moments! A beautiful perfect ending and I cannot wait for more!
