About this ebook

The New York Times best seller is now a major motion picture starring Lily James and Sam Riley, with Matt Smith, Charles Dance, and Lena Headey.

This edition features sixteen pages of color stills from the film, a reading group discussion guide, and other bonus materials.

Complete with romance, heartbreak, swordfights, cannibalism, and thousands of rotting corpses, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is an audacious retelling of English literature’s most enduring novel. This expanded edition of the beloved Jane Austen novel featuring all-new scenes of bone-crunching zombie mayhem begins when a mysterious plague falls upon the quiet English village of Meryton—and the dead are returning to life! Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet is determined to wipe out the zombie menace, but she’s soon distracted by the arrival of the haughty and arrogant Mr. Darcy. What ensues is a delightful comedy of manners with plenty of civilized sparring between the two young lovers—and even more violent sparring on the blood-soaked battlefield. It’s the perfect read for literature lovers, zombie fans, and anyone who loves a reanimated Austen.

I read Little Vampire Women many years ago and again just recently. I loved it very much. Because of that, I thought that I would love this as well. I can't say I hated it, but I can't say I loved it either. It was decent. I love how it both followed the original story and deviated to factor in the zombie part. I'm actually curious about the movie adaptation that was made from this. (More on blog: Star's Books & Tea)

Jane Austin was always boring to me whenever we were assigned her books to read in school. There was always something about reading incessant ramblings of women, meddling mothers and balls, that always seemed to bore me to tears. Adding zombies, made reading Jane a bit more tolerable, however, still quite dull. I do, however, give Seth Grahame-Smith 5 stars for the carnage. Bravo....

I was looking forward to this read so much. I actually hurried through the last book I was reading to get to it. I was disappointed unfortunately. I hoped that it would be a nice change of pace from the original, but it seemed more like a cheap ploy to attract readers. The zombie related story was just peppered throughout an already existing book. I may finish it...if I can't think of anything better to do.
