About this ebook

From the New York Times bestselling author of Twist Me comes an addictive, thrilling tale of dark love set on post-invasion Earth…

In the near future, the Krinar rule the Earth. An advanced race from another galaxy, they are still a mystery to us—and we are completely at their mercy.

Shy and innocent, Mia Stalis is a college student in New York City who's led a normal life. Like most people, she’s never had any interactions with the invaders—until one fateful day in the park changes everything. Having caught Korum’s eye, she must now contend with a powerful, dangerously seductive Krinar who wants to possess her and will stop at nothing to make her his own.

How far would you go to regain your freedom? How much would you sacrifice to help your people? What choice will you make when you begin to fall for your enemy?

Note: This is book 1 of a completed trilogy. All three books are now available.

If you have read Twilight and 50 Shades then you will notice similarities in the beginning of the book and how love affair started. Nevertheless, I did enjoy the fantasy world with the nanotechnology applications in the story. I didn’t want to put the book down, until I was forced to do so at the end. I’ll be looking forward to reading the rest of the series and then have my final impression the whole story.

SPOILER ALERT (kinda) I can understand why a lot of people would like this book..its well written and the story was well thought out for a romance. My problem with it is that she has basically become a slave to him that he takes very good care of and cares for. She realizes this once or twice and becomes furious...then apparently forgets about it. I like my romance men domineering, but not controlling. Also, the sex scenes seem very vanilla and they rarely have sex outside the bedroom.

The problem is not at all the plot or setting, it's the characters & the genre. The concept of the world is good as is the whole resistance element. Had this not been a romance, but rather a sci-fi thriller w/a stronger heroine, or a dark depressing drama w/a heroine just as weak, I might have liked this. Instead this is a romance w/an extremely domineering male lead(hey, I enjoy that often enough) & an extremely weak willed female lead(not my preference, but sure). The combination creates a dysfunctional maelstrom that makes me hate both characters w/a fiery passion. I had to force myself to finish. I can imagine how a stronger heroine MIGHT have gotten through to Korum & made him less controlling --MAYBE-- but Mia was NOT that heroine. Instead she let him control her in the worst way & then maybe, sometimes, liked it? Meanwhile Korum is convinced that he's in the right because she betrayed him & she just lets him think that? Yeah, not okay w/that & will not be continuing the series.
