The author of this paper, Ewa Dąbrowska, M.D., Ph.D., is one of the very few doctors in Poland who have come to understand that the main cause of common and diverse degenerative diseases (also called “diseases of affluence”) is long-term overfeeding and improper nutrition in general; that the only truly effective, causal drug in this case will be a fasting or semi-fasting diet, which in its various forms is also called fasting.Medicinal fasting has been known and used in medicine since ancient times and it was not until the 19th century that the rapid development of chemotherapy led to their abandonment, with the rapid spread of pharmaceutical drugs which, while removing only the symptoms, do not affect the very essence of the disease, yet often additionally poison the organism.
About the author
A long-time employee of the Medical University of Gdańsk, came across the problem of the relationship between nutrition and diseases while conducting scientific research. More than 30 years ago, she introduced in her practice an innovative method of treatment with a fruit and vegetable diet, which is a variant of a healing fasting. Seeing the surprising effects of the diet, even in chronic and difficult-to-treat diseases, such as: auto-aggression or metabolic diseases, she understood what a great phenomenon is the body itself, which, after cleaning itself of toxins, activates self-healing mechanisms, including the elimination of degeneracy and the subsequent regeneration of healthy tissues. For more than a quarter of a century, she has been accumulating experience in supervising patients in health resorts associated under the auspices of the INSTYTUT PROMOCJI ZDROWA DR EWY DĄBROWSKIEJ (DR. EWA DĄBROWSKA'S HEALTH PROMOTION INSTITUTE). The book Ciało i ducha ratować żywieniem (Saving the Body and Spirit through Nutrition) turned out to be a bestseller and for over 25 years has been helping thousands of sick people in regaining their health."
