About this ebook

I will take this secret to my end.

When Silver's parents are murdered in front of her by the people she's trusted for years, she flees the fae realm and begins a new life pretending to be human.

More than two years later, she believes she's finally safe—until the night someone from the Guild shows up.

Ash.

The boy who was once her best friend. The boy who tried to kill her.

He's on the run now as well, after discovering the same secret that led to Silver's parents' deaths. Or so he says.

The forest they grew up in has become a dangerous place, crawling with fae monsters, and Ash claims he needs Silver's help. The discovery her parents made years ago could be the only thing to save their home.

Silver knows Ash is only using her—he's a guardian, after all, and they're the ones who took everything from her—but she can't turn her back on the home she still loves.

And so she forms a fragile truce with the boy who broke her heart. Stepping back into the world she swore never to return to, she sets out on a dangerous path to unlock the secrets of the past.

But neither Silver nor Ash are prepared for the true horror of what they will find lurking in the shadows of Stormsdrift.

Finished the book in one breath. It was an absolute treat to go back to the creepy hollow world with the guardians and their glimmering weapons, not to mention the magic in the air. For those who have already read the Creepy Hollow books it's like discovering a complete new part of something already known. For the new readers it is like a gem waiting to be discovered and indulged in. Silver, a teenager who lost her parents in front of her eyes too soon, goes into a journey of self discovery, revelation, re connection, love - to find everything yet to lose everything. I enjoyed the unique bond between the Wrens and the Blackburns, it reminded me no matter how tough we are outside, everyone needs a place where they belong and is loved, a place we call home. If you enjoy a good fantasy adventure, it's a must read

This book was wildly enjoyable with a pace that keeps you reading. There wasn't a chapter that felt drawn out or too slow. This is Rachel's longest book to date and you can easily finish it in a weekend. It truly was perfect! Characters - 5 Star (can I marry Ash?) Action - 5 Star Slow burn romance - 5 Star and oh so enjoyable! This book doesn't need spice to make it good. Pace - 5 Star

Really really loved this new book in the Creepy Hollow/Fae world! A unique and different story, that truly compliments the Creepy Hollow series if you've read them, while still being its own separate adventure. It's easily read and followed even if you're only starting with this book first. The characters are well established and lovable/hatable/relatable, and Rachel has done a wonderful job building the Fae world and bringing it into your imagination with detailed descriptions (that thankfully aren't overdone to the point of boredom! 😉) I'm so excited, and can't wait for the next one!
