A calamity of unpredictable occurrences interfere with Susanna and Camden's wedding day. Poor Susanna she has a secret and it is imperative she marry immediately. But a snow and ice storm causes a no show of her wedding dress. Camden keeps her calm but she has not shared her secret with him and decided to wait until the vows were spoken. Her two brothers and two sisters with their families, close friends and servants were invited. Now everyone is housebound because of the weather. When Camden is called to speak with Susanna's father he tells her to stay where she is and lock the door. Susanna did not understand why and felt safe in her father's house. Apparently Camden suspected otherwise. She left the room and something horrible happens. Thankfully Camden heard her scream and came to her rescue. The reverend had arrived unconscious but recovers and holds the wedding. Happy ending after all they went through. A happily ever after, after all. What if everything went wrong on your special day? What would you do? Literally everything goes wrong on Susanna’s wedding day from the weather to the dress and more, and although it was entertaining to see how she would get through the next obstacle, what I loved most was Camden’s loving, unshakable support. He is everything you would want in a partner, and seeing how they lean on each other during each new trial was very sweet. Although short, the plot was satisfying for a novella and I really liked the characters. This is a great read for any weather, sunshine or snow, and worth a read for those who love sweet regency stories.

When it rains, it pours but there is a rainbow at the end. What a lovely book it was so much fun to read. It is Susanna’s wedding day, and nothing is going right. The weather, to items missing and, to a jerk that just had to be a creep this book had it all. Lord Camden is wonderful and truly is her knight in shiny armor. I love how it was written and all the twists. What her father told her at the end was priceless. I did receive a free copy of this book from Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.
