Having a truly hard time getting into this book. I am not a fan of Jamie and his mannerisms, attitude, and the way he acts. The son seems like a manipulative brat. April seems too wishy washy. In all, the characters are boring to me. A book this short I would have normally flown through....i have been trying to read it for a couple days and I feel like opening Google Play Books to read this feels more like a punishment than a relaxing break. I will finish it because that is how I am, but at this point I am not enjoying it AT ALL. :-(

This book is for young adults. It's a saccharine novel with an easy read and not much else in the way of any challenges or upheavals in the story of the two lovers. If you want a book that has no obstacles and is smooth sailing from start to finish with a bit of sex oozing out now and then, then this is the book for you. It doesn't inspire me to read any of the other books in the series, as I assume it will all have the same moderate appeal. Don't get me wrong, the writing was good, but it needs more oomph.

Work in Progress is definitely the kind of home improvement I can get behind. I'm a klutz, an accident waiting to happen so it's in my best interest to keep power tools, nails, and hammers (oh my!) far, far away from me. This DIY flipper and his new neighbor have chemistry oozing from them. Add in a smile inducing, rambunctious six year old to the mix, it's kryptonite to any romantic. With sass and spunk, our heroine had me at hello- even if it took forever to "learn" her name. Work in Progress had me smiling, snickering, and wishing I had started reading BJ Harvey a long time ago! No time like the present to catch up!
