The Ray (1994)
It's the long-awaited return of THE RAY, following the exploits of the young Ray Terrill, heir to the power of his famous father, the Golden Age Ray. Issue #1 opens in Hawaii, with the Ray battling Brimstone, Darkseid's giant fallen angel of destruction. And since Honolulu recently became the home turf of Superboy, it isn't long before the Metropolis Kid himself joins the Ray in a cataclysmic fight against the monster from Apokolips. But as the battle rages, the tension building between these two super-powered youths ignites...and both may end up victims of Brimstone's rampage!
Enter Deathmasque, a villain designed to be the Ray's arch nemesis. Their first encounter is almost fatal for the Ray, and the young hero must save Philadelphia from the very light entity that created him. Only one person can help him now-the super-powered criminal Dr. Polaris but first the Ray has to break him out of prison.
Lobo makes a special appearance when the Ray, lost far from Earth, tries to return under his own power with Black Canary in tow. On the way, the welcome sight of an alien space station beckons them, but the only thing awaiting the Ray within it is the Main Man from Czarnia and the fight of his life!
An UNDERWORLD UNLEASHED tie-in. Neron makes the Ray an offer to rewrite history so that Death Masque never existed, erasing all the villain's evil. All Neron wants in return is the hero's soul. Meanwhile, Ray's younger brother Joshua is cornered by Death Masque.

Hailed as a comics masterpiece, THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS is Frank Miller's (300 and SIN CITY) reinvention of the legend of Batman. It is ten years after an aging Batman has retired, and Gotham City has sunk deeper into decadence and lawlessness. Now, when his city needs him most, the Dark Knight returns in a blaze of glory. Joined by Carrie Kelly, a teenage female Robin, Batman takes to the streets to end the threat of the mutant gangs that have overrun the city. And after facing off against his two greatest enemies, the Joker and Two-Face, for the final time Batman finds himself in mortal combat with his former ally, Superman, in a battle that only one of them will survive.
Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Firestorm, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Deadman, Jade, Osiris, Hawk, Captain Boomerang and Zoom must discover the mysterious reason behind their return and uncover the secret that binds them all in this follow-up to the smash hit BLACKEST NIGHT
