Born, raised and educated in Pozna¿, Poland, Henryk Hoffmann immigrated, in 1992, to the USA, where he has taught Latin, German, English and History. He has also authored five reference books, including "A" Western Filmmakers: A Biographical Dictionary of Writers, Directors, Cinematographers, Composers, Actors and Actresses (2000, 2008), Leksykon gwiazd kina ameryka¿skiego (A Biographical Dictionary of American Movie Stars, 2006; written in Polish in collaboration with his daughters, Beata and Katarzyna) and Four Hollywood Legends in World Literature: References to Bogart, Cooper, Gable and Tracy (2016). His professional honors include the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition (2000) for his first book, a two-time inclusion in Who's Who Among America's Teachers (2002 and 2005), an entry in Gale's Contemporary Authors (2005) and an Honorary Diploma from the Polish Federation of Film Societies (2006). At present, Hoffmann works at Perkiomen School in Pennsburg, PA, where he teaches Latin and German. He is an active member of the Western Writers of America and lives, with his wife, Betsy, in Lititz, PA.
