Robert M. Wills

Robert M. Wills, M. Div., MSW, has had a bi-vocational career in the Episcopal Church where he is an ordained priest and in clinical social work. He published extensively in the field of marital therapy, his clinical specialty. He is now retired from clinical practice and university teaching. In retirement he has returned to active theological study, concentrating on contemporary biblical scholarship. He is an associate member of the well-respected Westar Institute, a leading force in the advancement of the historical-critical approach to understanding the Bible. His first theological book, "Taking Caesar Out of Jesus," has received very positive reader reviews, helping Christians who are skeptical about traditional Christian teaching articulate a more rational and contemporary view of their faith.
