This movie is an incredible depiction of Christ's 40 days in the desert, spent without food, shelter or companionship--while being tempted to sin by Satan and to abandon His mission. Would definitely recommend this flick to anyone, as there are some incredible plot twists including Mary and Joseph, who do not appear in the biblical text of this story, but whom the production team found ways to use for added effect of how deceiving Satan was during this trial. And though the writers took liberties with taking a part of the bible which we know little about, with Christ alone in the desert, and making a beautiful and full length feature film out of it, they still stay completely true to biblical text by making sure that Christ speaks no fabricated words anywhere in the film--but that He only uses dialogue throughout the entire film that can be found in scripture and quotes it exactly as written. Beautifully filmed, well produced, incredibly well acted and completely thought provoking. I can only imagine how this production team would have done if they had a big studio film budget instead of this being a passion project funded by their own wallets. Its overwhelming what they were able to do with the little amount they had to work with.
