It's slow, but that's what makes it great. All of the actors played their roles as well as it could've been done. It really moved me and helped me strive to be a better person. It's a must watch if you have time and want to see a really good film. 5/5

LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! Reminds me of my youth growing up in New York and the music I was hearing on the radio, and watching a shirtless sweating Channing Tatum for a couple of hours didn't hurt. SEE IT!!! Worth Your Time

Amazing performances by everyone throughout. Nice capture of the gritty New York of yesteryear. Movie is special cause the period it represents is my own, in my home city.
