About this movie

Just before reaching the pinnacle of fame and freshly arrived in New York from Russia, Veronica happily gives up her career as a pianist to raise her son. Despite constant pressures from her husband Paul, a French stockbroker, she retreats into an indefinite hiatus from performing while fully enjoying her role as a mother. But without a salary or an independent work identity, Veronica's dependency on Paul grows and a sense of personal dislocation sets in. The question of going back on stage arises more painfully when she meets Amanda, an alluring, promising, and younger pianist who soon falls for Paul.

It's a disservice to the movie and actors and viewers to list this movie under comedy, with a trailer that makes it seem like such, ...i still haven't laughed, in fact am depressed by the somber music script and tone. Id like a refund darnit.

This is to answer to EL's review. I totally agree that my film must not be listed under comedy, clearly According to Her is a drama. This is an error from the distributor and Google Play. We brought this to their attention multiple times but unfortunately no change has been made. I still hope you took something from your experience of watching it :)

I liked this movie with it's mixture of comedy and psychological drama. Besides the main characters, the city of New York plays a great role in it as well. There are outstanding shots of Manhattan where it takes place. I liked the story too, the way it unfolds, and there is a great music sound track that emphasizes the depth of human emotions.
