About this movie

Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with ALIEN: COVENANT, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination they must attempt a harrowing escape.

Nothing makes sense in this movie and the prequel Prometheus. I personally wanted all the characters to die because of their stupidity. The movie fails to answer the questions asked by the characters and delivers the same ridiculous outcome that my other well hated alien movie did: Aliens 3, which is: "no matter how hard you fight, you'll lose in the end." Absolute rubbish!

It would have been more decorous to have allowed the Alien franchise to peter out with the last movie. This movie tries too hard...or maybe does not try enough. I personally found it mind numbing in its pretense as a serious movie. It ended up with me watching a movie on TV simultaneous to Alien playing on my laptop I am sure someone will enjoy it but I personally cannot recommend it.

It would have been nice if a few of the deaths weren't caused by people making mind-numbingly stupid decisions. And is it really plausible that we'd explore new planets without taking some kind of alien pathogen precautions? I mean, none at all? Really? Ridley Scott is too focussed on getting to the Alien and not enough on creating something new. If only this amount of amazing set design and special effects were spent on something worthy that we haven't already seen many times before. I knew this would be lame from the preview, but it was even worse than I expected.
