DD: did not realize that the first three Alien movies were directed by top calibre director. Ridley Scott directed the first one, the third was David Fincher's first movie, and this sequel was from James Cameron. the movies is more an action film than sci-fi horror compared to the first one. still an awesome treatment though.
10/10 Aliens is absolutely the masterpiece sequel of all time, and the special edition is also the masterpiece, more than ever, and best of all, Aliens is a very fun ride, and acting like a roller coaster ride of violence. Aliens is such as bad***, and it's way funner than the original, and it's a lot of wars, shooting, deaths, and and many many more! :) Aliens is one of my favorite sequels of all time, behind The Empire Strikes Back, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, and Spider-Man 2. Ellen Ripley is even more tougher, and more powerful than she was in the first movie, and she always the protector of Newt, and it has a funny line with "Game Over man! Game Over!". It has a incredibly suspenseful soundtrack that fits the tone of the movie, thanks to James Horner, and James Cameron, who did an awesome job with this sequel, the one who did Titanic, and the first two Terminator movies. It did helped the popularize the space marine trope in later science-fiction media, along with the usage of kinetic weapons in the genre. Best of all, the finale was even the best, if not better. Best of all, Aliens is the "Must see" classic sequel of all time! :D Hope you liked my review everyone! :D

Like military scifi? Action? Monsters? Badass female lead who doesn't take off her clothes or whimper and play second fiddle to a male? Then you owe it to yourself to watch Aliens Special Edition! While Terminator might've been the movie that initially raised Cameron onto the map of promising directors, it was Aliens that cemented his reputation. The SE adds a bunch of stuff which slows the pace of the movie a bit from the theatrical version, giving us more glimpses into the Marines and the colony of Hadley's Hope, but most importantly it gives us a deeper insight into the character of Ellen Ripley which is why I recommend this version above the original. If you want, rent the original and check it out, but for buying? Get this one. =)
