Vice President Gore's message is still highly relevant more that two years after this documentary's release. The enormous number of one-star reviews making bogus claims about the science is beautiful evidence of the orchestrated and well-funded denier movement intent on sowing doubt in the minds of the few among us who are still not sure what to believe. In 2019, over 90% of Americans - finally catching up with the rest of the word - have come to accept the reality of the climate crisis. This overwhelming acceptance is the result of seeing the effects of the climate crisis first-hand in our communities as wildfire, extreme rainfall and flooding, and deadly heat waves. It's a tragedy that so many of our "leaders" still claim doubt or disbelief that humans are causing the crisis primarily through our burning of fossil fuels and our agriculture and land use practices. Every day that our leaders fail to lead on this issue puts all of is in greater peril, especially the young and people all over the world who have done little to cause the crisis. But as Mr. Gore says at the end of film, "If our leaders refuse to lead, the citizens of the world will."
Fun facts for all you science nuts out there. The corn belt in the united states during photosynsthesis produces more oxygen and intakes more co2 then the entire amazon rain forest. Another fun fact California decided to be entirely powered by renewable energy and now doesn't produce enough power to keep the electricty on consistantly for its 30m people during peak times. And you know only the people will suffer from lack of power. No corporation will suffer the loss of power. Lead us California
If you need a life-saving operation you do not go to your attorney or your account regardless of how smart they are and their fields. You go to your doctor, your surgeon, and the medical team that assist them. If you can agree to this why is it that when it comes to climate change so many do not listen to the experts. Over 97.1 percent of the world climate experts all agree that man made climate change is not only happening but is a major threat. This movie does a phenomenal job at relaying some of the easier and more difficult to see ramifications our actions have to our world. I completely recommend this movie, and I ask everyone to please give it the 90 minutes. This is not a far off threat that will hurt us one day down the line. This is going to affect us both now and it will severely affect our children. If you have a phone, if you drive a car, ridden in airplane or done something with one of the other millions of people says of technology that all depend upon the same Scientific methods that show Climate change is real then you cannot deny it. Please stop and listen be it’s too late. Before our planet and our children’s home is destroyed.
