About this movie

Seven years after the death of her daughter, Lizzie locks eyes on a sight she thought she'd never see again: a girl, Lola, who is the spitting image of her own lost child. As she battles for custody of her surviving son, Lizzie's obsession with Lola only grows –befriending the young girl's mother, following her everywhere and forcing long-held secrets out into the open. The film is a psychological drama directed by Kim Farrant (Strangerland, Rush) from a script written by Academy Award nominee Luke Davies (Lion) and David Regal. Staring BAFTA nominee Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Prometheus ) as Lizzie, Golden Globe-nominated actress Yvonne Strahovski (The Handmaid's Tale) as Claire and Luke Evans (Dracula Untold, The Hobbit) as Mike.

I don't like movies that are based around an anxious female, mentally unhinged and dosing up on anti-depressants. Watched the first 38 mins of this focus on an over emotional female with anxiety then scrolled forward to watch the last 20 mins. Very average!

At first I thought this was going to be a typical story line, but I was wrong. I really like this movie and love the actors as well. I give it 4.5 stars. I will watch it again when it comes to Netflix down the track.

Noomi Rapace never fails to bring such great talent to all her movies. This is one of my favourites. Great cast. Great movie ⭐
