About this movie

Believing his career is over, Senator Jay Bulworth (Warren Beatty) takes out an enormous insurance policy - and a contract on his own life. But his impending death fills him with an outrageous desire to break the rules and tell it like it is. With new enthusiasm to live, fueled in part by a beautiful woman named Nina (Halle Berry), Bulworth must now somehow stop the "hit" he has put out on himself before its too late.

Saw this 1998 as fantasy, but in 2017, Bulworth's mental breakdown mirrors the real-life anxiety we are all feeling. No matter our personal differences, I would recommend watching it once, then a second time...if you are brave enough.

Initially, Bulworth is exactly like that low IQ potato who is currently squatting in the Whitehouse. The defining characteristic which separates Potato from Bulworth is intelligence.... Oh yeah, that and potato has an exceptionally severe case of the Dunning-Kruger effect.
