Even for me, a Captain America fan, it's hard to recommend this movie. The script is rather boring, characters aren't interesting and action scenes are rather forgettable. Still, watching this movie is important before seeing next Avengers, and, most importantly, next Captain America movies, which are just amazing. I wish this movie had been better. It's still watchable, but nowhere close to what it could be, based on the character's long comic book history

It's an average semi super hero film. Obviously part two looks to be fantastic, but this one is only so so as far as the story. The special effects that made him look skinny were just weird looking. On a side note, before Disney bought Marvel, all the new Marvel movies used to be $9.99 SD and $12.99 HD. But my rating is for the movie, NOT Disney's price hike.

In my opinion, The Captain America trilogy is by far the best film series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Chris Evans brings to life the character of Steve Rogers off the pages of the comic book panel and unto the big Screen. This period piece film, serves so many different layers that bridge the world and characters of the MCU. Much like Captain America is the cornerstone figure in the comics of the Marvel Universe. It rings true in the films, starting with The First Avenger. I love the ensemble cast, (Hugo Weaving as Red Skull, Haley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter & Sébastien Stan as Bucky Barnes). The music and action sequences blend in were greatly crafted .
