A great movie, with one of greatest cinematic interpretations of the devil. Sadly, its rating was dragged down by being an early comic book movie that was only a loose adaptation of the source material, and by the post "Matrix: Revolutions" Keanu backlash. If you can appreciate it as its own film rather than as an adaptation of "Hellblazer", I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Like any Hollywood movie, "Constantine" has plenty of inconsistencies and holes (or "Sins" as the CinemaSins guy says). But, overall, it's a pretty good movie. It's fast-paced and interesting. And, even though it's not exactly deep, it does explore a couple of interesting philosophical questions. Definitely worth watching. I'm rating it at a Very Good 4 stars out of 5.

An amazing cinematic adaptation of the cult antihero and his misadventures in the occult, dark magic and creatures from the depths of Hell itself. John Constantine (Reeves), a has-been exorcist and dabbler of the occult, unwanted on Earth and Heaven, now battles new demons.
