If you're a fan of DOOM, do not watch this abomination. It completely ignores the story of the game. It's essentially another zombie horror flick, rather than being one man standing alone against the forces of Hell itself. The only redeemable part of this "film," if it can even be called that, is the first person action sequence towards the end. I will say that that part is wonderful, watching John Grimm (who I will say is excellently played by Karl Urban) blast his way through the UAC base. If you haven't played the games, you'll probably enjoy this movie. If you have, stay as far away from it as possible. There's no reference to Hell, and all the "demons" are just people infected with a serum. It's simply awful.

A true gamers movie. The way the last 20 minutes of the movie was shot is incredible. I love how it's shot like your playing the game. The story line sticks to the game pretty much so you don't have to have any prior knowledge of what Doom is all about; the movie does a good job of explaining everything.
