Once upon a time in a castle high on a hill lived an inventor whose greatest creation was named Edward. Although Edward had an irresistible charm, he wasn't quite perfect. The inventor's sudden death left him unfinished, with sharp shears of metal for hands. Edward lived alone in the darkness until one day a kind Avon lady took him home to live with her family. And so began Edward's fantastical adventures in a pastel paradise known as Suburbia.

A cult classic. This is probably my favorite movie for the holiday blues. It's touching, but there are moments where you get a little angry at a few of the characters, but mostly you just feel bad for Edward and what story unfolds for him when humanity comes out of the woodwork to gawk at the "next new thing" -- it's a great movie, with a deep plot. It's much deeper than the base level you get from the movie at times.

I love Tim Burton films and I actually only saw this for the first time recently. Its easily my new favorite movie. Its about a person created , almost like a modern telling of Frankenstein . He goes to suburbia and doesnt quieter fit into the 80's ... he is confused and rhis movie really is so many bountiful ideas blended into one. I usually don't have an easy time picking favorites but , like I said, this is it. I can relate to being confused , quiet , and scared im doing something wrong or herb smn.ty tm

I have this movie on dvd its a good film i still get sad near the end cuz Edward is alone and everyone hates him for being different like he's a freak if u have not seen it watch it you'll love it
