I'm of the generation where Hal Jordan was the greatest Green Lantern and the standard all others were measured by. So for that reason, I'm not wild about Hal Jordan being killed to make way for John Stewart. Earth has had more than a handful of Green Lanterns and some have overlapped. Not sure why they had to break with canon. Still, I enjoy the animated Green Lantern movies better than I did the live action.

Beware my power? Beware this movie! Beware My Power fails its lead character, reducing him to a supporting role. Lifting elements of Kyle Rayner’s origin and throwing Hal Jordan under a green construct bus does not serve John Stewart or the mythology well. Failing to provide a compelling story that also delivers good fan service, I can’t recommend this. If you're looking for good Green Lantern content, check out the other GL animated films, or better yet, Green Lantern: The Animated Series.

Amazing story and beautifully animated, if you're a fan of DC space stories and certain GL plotlines you're gonna find an exciting well crafted film (especially being only an hour 27 minutes)
