About this movie

Kylie Bucknell is forced to return to the house she grew up in when the court places her on home detention. Her punishment is made all the more unbearable by the fact that she has to live with her mother Miriam, who is convinced that the house is haunted. However, when she begins to hear unsettling whispers and strange bumps in the night, she starts to wonder if the house might actually be possessed – and if it is, it seems that the spirit isn't particularly thrilled about her return. 2014 Semi-Professional Pictures/Kitchen Sink. 2014 Phase 4 Films (USA), LLC. The characters in this movie were not likeable at all. Through most of the movie I was thinking about how stupid and annoying the main character and here mom were, I became fixated on that and couldn't even enjoy the movie. I think this is supposed to be like a horror comedy or dark comedy but the problem is It's not funny at all! And not even scary. I think I smirked once at the beginning of the movie but by the end of the movie I just wanted to reach through the screen and punch the daughter and her mom

Actors were great, pacing was good, and the story was entertaining with a couple twists. Lots of humor, some suspense, and a few little scares. One warning: it is 111 minutes long. Worth watching for sure, and it doesn't drag on too bad, just beware the commitment.

The characters were very believable. Funny when appropriate. Lots of jumps throughout. It was able to keep my attention the entire time, without relying on gore or constant violence. Good job guys...scary done well!
