Percival, an introverted piano player, and Rooster, the star performer and manager of a Southern speakeasy -- who's as outgoing as Percival is shy -- struggle to keep their dream of making it big alive against long odds. André Benjamin and Antwan Patton (aka Big Boi) of the hip-hop group OutKast star in this musical extravaganza that delivers roadhouse boogie straight up in a smoky, Prohibition-era atmosphere.

Should have employed a more satyrical twist. The mash-up of genres throughout would have lent itself to irony and comedy well. I enjoyed the stylized overproduction, it helped take away from the fact that a piano player almost hung himself over a 21 year old singer/identity thief who is living a lie within her presentation to everyone, but then decides to see who is the door. Becoming an overnight success, and musical superstar. Totally believable, so the music video quality helped tamp down the drama. Whatever, I assume it wasn't as good sober...

U guys don't understand how that movie made me feel if I could just have a hour to dress and dance in that movie I know that I am in heaven it will make a old lady day smile thank u.
